Police ram moped gangs - New crackdown
Story running across the press this morning showing Met Police knocking Moped thieves off after a pursuit.

I am pleased that someone senior in the MET has been brave enough to make this decision and allow the police to ram these scrotes off their bike and hopefully lock them up.

Giving the police more power in general to step out from this PC era is welcome in my opinion and acts as a deterrent that if you go out to commit this type of crime we have a police service who will deal with you.

Just need to recruit a few more now.

100 scumbags off the streets.
All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.

As an old fashioned leftie I love this tactic, but it needs to approved at a senior level.
What about Javid ShinyHead actually doing his job and giving it the OK, and that coppers using this tactic won't be open to any repercussions

I’m all for knocking the robbing fuckers off their mopeds but why should frontlinr coppers follow this policy if they could end up inside for gbh.

The top brass just haven’t thought this through.

While parliament simply rubber stamps edicts handed down from the European Justice Systems on these matters you won't get anybody echoing your desires in a hurry.

If this is not a problem on the streets of Brussels or Strasbourg, then it's not a problem.

Re: Police ram moped gangs - New crackdown
Its interesting that the Police chose to respond to Diane Abbot's tweet with “Someone who's responsible for law-making (or at least debating and ratifying new legislation) should probably realise that using tactical contact to terminate dangerous pursuits is entirely within our lawful power... And our responsibility.”

I am pleased that the Old Bill are sticking their head above the parapet and challenging politicians in this era of Political Correctness.

I liked the interview that Tobias Ellwood gave on ITV related to the Syrian kids being bullied at school in Huddersfield.

His position was that we have to stop being a society where because of social media its becoming the norm to record incidents of violence, find them funny and walk on by? He references the incident a few weeks previously where a WPC was kicked and it was posted on social media rather than anyone stepping in to help.

He further went on to say that the political correctness is leading Britain towards a place that he fears, lets get back and understand our values and defend them, lets get back to being strong about what Britain should be.

This is the MP who tried to save the life of the PC murdered at the gates of the House of Commons. the interview starts at 2.49 in the clip below.

I want more reaction and positioning from the Tobias Ellwood type of politicians than I do from the Diane Abbots of this world. I want governance restored into our politics, where we ask what is best for our society rather than just politicking. Lets give the police the tools they need and back them.

Hoping that the Old Bill are stepping out from the PC brigade, would love more MP's to do so too.

Re: Police ram moped gangs - New crackdown
The only reason that the Abbotottamus is questioning this tactic is because she assumes that the majority of the scooter crims are black yoot.
The trouble is, and I may well be wrong, I've always been under the impression that most of them are white trash.

I suppose I must be wrong 'cos if it were mostly whitey's that Plod were ramming then the brilliant shadow Home Secretary would have kept schtum, surely.

Seems to me like they used reasonable force to prevent the scrotes escaping - what were/are the viable real-time alternatives - night school? Reading them some poems? Showing them your citation on social deprivation in 1820 London?

Re: Police ram moped gangs - New crackdown
Whatever your political leaning, I can't for the fucking life of me see how anyone could have any sort of problem with this.

We have all done/know people who have been up to no good. The deal is, you take your chance, you face the consequences if you got collared. The Police are fighting fire with fire on this, if you don't want to get rammed off your bike, don't do the fucking crime. It's that simple.

Unless you're a mealy mouthed cunt like comma, it makes perfect sense.
